ARAC is a non-profit corporation consisting of a dues paying membership which elects a nine-member Board Of Directors. There are two membership categories: Licensed members (members who hold a current CHRB Owners or Trainers license) and Associate members, who support the sport and are interested in racing, and may want to serve on a committee.

ARAC is also authorized by California Horse Racing Law to manage, control and direct the Arabian Cal-bred program.

Arabian Racing Facts
Racing is the most popular spectator sport in the United States, and the Arabian is the fastest growing breed in racing. In fact, Arabian racing is the fastest growing sport in the Country, increasing over 1,000 percent in scope in the past ten years.

Arabians have already proven, in California and many other states, that the public thoroughly enjoys and will readily support Arabian racing when offered quality horses and competitive fields. The benefits received through racing are many, including an objective proof of soundness, exposure of the breed to millions of new people and considerable financial income potential through purses generated by pari-mutuel wagering. Plus racing is just plain exciting! The thrill of watching Arabians driving for the finish line is an experience no one should miss.
